I am trying to find equipment pretty close to the following:

I would like it w/o their stickers of course - any thoughts on who we can get these from?

The better Mikrotiks have beefier CPU (PowerPC etc.). Can above appliance really deal
with 14 GBit/s throughput?

There is a company which has embedded solutions for pfSense and great powder coated boxes. These are not yet available in the webshop, but an e-mail does wonders. They can even put your company logo (via laser) on the box.

I have found something that we can throw 8GB of ram into - dual core Duo 2.x ghz
much better than the microtik equipment - all with GigE ports-

I ordered a few - and will be testing it out shortly
they look quite nice as well

once i have it tested 100% for sure :-)
awaiting delivery now

I would hate to see others spend the cash only to have it not work ...
but its all x86 with intel chipset so i think it should work well.
